QC Analyst/Microbiology
Location: Novato, CA. (On-Site)
12-month assignment (potential to extend or convert)
Pay Rate: $28/hr.
Schedule: (4 days/10 hours):
Sunday – Wednesday, swing shift (11:00am – 10:00pm) or
Wednesday – Saturday, swing shift (11:00am – 10:00pm)
Our pharmaceutical industry client, a global leader in therapeutics for rare and life-threatening genetic diseases, is looking for a QC Analyst that will primarily focus on the centralized program management of reference standards and critical reagents used in the testing of clinical products. As well as supporting in the inventory management database for reference standards and critical reagents.
Duties:
- Assess the current reference standard and critical reagent inventory management for distribution to internal and external Quality Control Laboratories.
- Prepare shipments for the distribution of reference standard and critical reagent to external Quality Control Laboratories.
- Assist with monitoring and the control of laboratory media supply.
- Keep track of material requests and shipment progress.
- Identify the minimal inventory level that triggers the process for obtaining and qualifying critical reagents and reference standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance for freezers and/or storage units.
- Creation of testing protocols in Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Provide routine status reports on the inventory levels to Critical Reagent and Reference Standard Inventory Management.
Education & Experience:
- BA B.S. degree, with 1-2 years of experience in a Quality/Compliance/Regulatory setting.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical is a PLUS!
- Knowledge of cGMPs and equivalent industry regulations.
- Expertise with quality management systems and laboratory software functions, such as Veeva, MODA or LIMS, is ideal!
