An esteemed private hospital affiliated with a leading university is seeking an Associate Chief Medical Information Officer (ACMIO) to lead clinical informatics initiatives, support EMR optimization, and drive technology-enabled care improvement across multiple facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report to the CMIO and collaborate with clinical leadership.
- Provide 32 hours/week of informatics leadership and up to 8 hours/week of clinical or academic work.
- Lead clinical IT initiatives, including EMR optimization and clinical decision support.
- Drive quality improvement, process redesign, and change management across facilities.
- Support clinician training and engagement with health IT systems.
- Collaborate across departments and participate in informatics governance groups.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO; licensed in California (or eligible within 180 days).
- Board certified in an ACGME specialty; Clinical Informatics or related degree preferred.
- 4 years of physician leadership experience.
- Clinical practice within past 12 months preferred.
- Proven experience in medical informatics, EMR implementation, and system optimization.
- Familiarity with Cerner/Oracle Health and digital health tools.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
