Location: Novato, CA (Hybrid 2-3 Days on Site)
Assignment: 10 months (Great potential to extend or convert)
Pay Rate: $34.23/Hr.
Summary:
Our pharmaceutical client, a global leader in therapeutics for rare and life-threatening genetic diseases, is seeking a Buyer/Planner that will support in managing the purchase order process from document creation to closure, following delivery.
Duties:

• Serve Determine order requirements of raw materials to support GMP manufacturing operations.
• Manage the purchase order process from document creation to closure following delivery receipt and resolution of invoicing issues.
• Escalate issues and risks to management.
• Participate in various cross functional team meetings.
• Assess impact of supplier raw material change notifications.

 Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, in Life Science, Business, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering required
• 2-5  years+ Buyer experience needed, ideally in the biotech/pharma industry with experience in supply chain, warehouse operations, and/or manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and processes.
• GMP experience preferred, but open to chemical or medical device experience as well.
• Preferred Education: APICS certification and/or supply chain education preferred but not required.
