Claims Analyst
Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid – 3x week onsite)
12-month Assignment (potential to extend or convert)
Pay: $34-36 / HR
Our public utilities and energy client is looking for a Claims Analyst to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Adjust insurance claims, investigate, analyze, and settle liability and property damage claims filed by or against the Company within prescribed monetary limits.
- Collect funds from persons who have damaged Company property by locating them, negotiating settlements, and arranging billing correspondence.
- Gather evidence for such as photographs, interviewing and questioning witnesses.
- Examine and analyze records and reports.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation related to investigations.
- Confer with engineers, contractors, attorneys, and claimants to determine the extent of major property damage claims and recommend action to be taken for settlement.
Education & Qualifications:
- BA / BS in Business and experience with insurance related field is desirable
- 3-5 years of experience with claims investigation, liability analysis, case management or closely related experience.
- Experience in subrogation and recovery claims administration is required.
- Experience in multi-line (personal and commercial lines) casualty claims investigation, liability analysis, and case management is a plus!
