Pay Rate: $60-65/hour
Our public energy and utility client is looking for an employee to lead strategic procurement negotiations and oversee all procurement stages.
Duties:
- Lead strategic procurement negotiations and oversee all procurement stages.
- Collaborate with key suppliers to enhance performance and identify improvement areas.
- Manage and identify opportunities for supplier alliances.
- Develop tools to track supplier performance, such as scorecards.
- Communicate supplier performance metrics to stakeholders.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including Business Unit clients, DBE, IT, Metrics, procurement operations, and Legal.
- Develop category plans for cost savings, risk management, innovation, and operational efficiencies.
- Conduct thorough analysis of spend and market research to support category plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ of experience in category management or procurement, with 3 years leading cross-functional teams.
- Construction services/material procurement experience and a valid California driver's license required.
- Advanced degree or CPM certification is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems.
- Strong communication, customer service, teamwork, and analytical skills.
- High personal integrity and a results-oriented mindset.
