This role requires someone who is passionate about employee communications and can manage multiple priorities and projects. This role will report to the Director of Executive Communications and be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Job Description
In this role you will partner closer with the Director of Executive Communications to:
● Collaborate with the Center of Excellence leads (e.g., Total Rewards, Executive Compensation, People Development, Talent Acquisition and Global Giving & Doing) to develop compelling and clear communications around our people strategy and programs.
● Provide guidance and counsel to People program owners on messaging and best practices for engaging employees and ensure that communications align to our People strategy.
● Work with the business people partners to ensure that regional communications takes into account local sentiment, communication norms and diverse audiences while still connecting back to our broader messaging.
● Provide copywriting and messaging support across multiple types of deliverables, including emails, FAQs, presentations, etc.
● Partner with marketing communications team to drive People communications initiatives to completion.
● Coordinate with in-house and external creative teams for content and support.
● Participate in special project teams as needed.
● Stay abreast of industry trends and implement best practices.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, public relations or related field
● 5+ years of related professional experience within a public relations, communications or marketing function
● Excellent oral and written communication skills
● Experienced in corporate communications and/or public relations, including developing comprehensive communication plans with clear goals, key messages, timelines, and success metrics
● Skilled in the creation of presentations, email communications, FAQs, etc.
● Self-starter with a proven track record at performing well in a fast-paced dynamic environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities
● Ability to interface with stakeholders at all levels, across departments and geographies and act as an advisor to senior leadership
● Strong project management with a keen attention to detail
● Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
● Creative communicator with a strong interest in employee engagement and change management
