12-Month Assignment (potential to convert / extend)
Pay: $46-50 / HR
 
Our client, a Fortune 200 computer hard drive company, is seeking an Engineering Technician IV to join their team. This technician will support the EMC Lab (electromagnetic compatibility) with the primary task of ESD testing for SSD products. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist engineers and support the EMC Lab (electromagnetic compatibility) with the primary task being ESD testing for SSD products. 
  • EMI and Immunity testing, depending on the skill set and experience.  
  • Responsible for executing test procedures, diagnostics, generating test reports, and lab maintenance. 
  • Certain projects may require off-site work, and deadlines may demand longer workdays.

 
Education & Experience:

  • 4+ years of relevant field experience
  • Must have familiarity and experience with ESD testing per IEC-61000-4-2
  • EMI Testing per CISPR32 and FCC Class-B. is a plus.
  • Experience with EMC equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, amplifiers, antennas, line filters, anechoic chambers, and GTEM cells.
  • Basic soldering and PCBA re-work.
