Sr. BI Developer (Health Equity)
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Open to Remote)
Direct Hire
Salary Range: $120K – $143K (Exempt)
Work Hours: 8 AM – 5 PM
Our client, a leading private university in Los Angeles, CA is looking for a Sr. BI Developer (Health Equity) to join their Medical Enterprise team. This role will play a critical part in designing and implementing BI dashboards and data visualizations to support health equity initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and deploy enterprise dashboards using SDLC methodology
- Apply user experience design principles to data visualizations
- Train new staff on BI tools and data systems
- Manage multiple assignments, deadlines, and priorities independently
- Provide ad-hoc and routine reports for business and clinical decision-making
- Transform disparate data into meaningful analysis to support health equity efforts
- Document dashboards, reports, and data visualization mock-ups
- Provide on-call support as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
- 6 years of experience in BI reporting, dashboard design, and troubleshooting (10 years if no degree)
- Experience with SQL (MS SQL Server, Oracle) and database systems
- Health equity experience required
- Proficiency with Tableau (QlikView, QlikSense, Power BI, and other BI tools preferred)
- Strong data modeling expertise and SQL programming skills
- Knowledge of clinical, administrative, financial, and operational healthcare datasets
- Ability to extract and analyze data from AllScripts SCM, Infinity databases, and Oracle Health Cerner HealthAnalytics
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare industry experience
- Experience with Oracle Health Cerner HealthAnalytics/Population Health platforms
- Familiarity with ICD, CPT, HCPCS, LOINC, SNOMED standards
