Job Title: Imaging Engineer (Healthcare)

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90032, 100% on-site, 24/7 on-call

Pay Rate: $56-$66/ HR non-exempt, overtime at $84-99/ HR

Job Summary:

The Imaging Engineer II is responsible for the operational management, administration, and support of all core clinical imaging systems within the Medical Enterprise. This role involves day-to-day maintenance, system upgrades, quality assurance, troubleshooting, and coordination of system enhancements. The engineer collaborates with clinicians, staff, and vendors to ensure connectivity, training, and issue resolution. Additionally, the engineer participates in system design projects to enhance stability and functionality.

Responsibilities:

Operational Management (70%):

  • Administer, support, install, and maintain enterprise-wide Clinical Imaging Systems.
  • Provide on-call support for system issues, applying expertise and independent judgment for resolution.
  • Ensure 24/7 system availability by providing off-hour support as needed.

System Design (30%):

  • Lead projects in the implementation and support of Clinical Imaging Systems.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide root-cause analysis, recommending and implementing solutions.
  • Collaborate with IS teams to maintain compliant imaging systems.
  • Evaluate and deploy third-party applications to meet business requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience and education.
  • 3 years of experience supporting clinical imaging technology.
  • 3 years of experience with installation, operations, maintenance, and support of RIS, Radiology PACS, Cardiology PACS, Voice Dictation, Advanced Post Processing, RadOnc, EMR, EKG/EEG, and GI systems.
  • Working knowledge of DICOM, HL7, and IHE.
  • Basic competency in supporting Imaging Informatics system interfaces.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN and wired/Wireless networking technologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows OS at Desktop/Server level.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work independently, assertively, and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability for on-call support and travel to multiple service locations as needed.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certified DICOM Integration Professional (CDIP).
  • Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) by PARCA.
