Job Title: Nurse Recruiter
Pay Rate: $43-48/ HR
Location: Los Angeles, CA 90032, (Hybrid – Mainly Remote, Flexibility Required)
Duration of Assignment: 3-4 months with strong possibility of extension long-term
Job Overview:
The Nurse Recruiter will manage the full-cycle recruitment process to identify and onboard qualified nursing professionals for Keck Medicine of USC. This role involves sourcing, pre-screening, interviewing, and referring top candidates to various departments. The recruiter will develop strategies to attract and retain nursing staff, support new hires, and contribute to special HR projects as needed.
#1 MUST HAVE QUALIFICATION:
- Experience recruiting nurses (for a hospital or academic medical center is preferred).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for nursing positions, including staff and leadership roles.
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract both active and passive candidates.
- Conduct interviews and make hiring recommendations.
- Create job descriptions and candidate profiles.
- Address and resolve issues related to policies, procedures, programs, or benefits.
- Conduct research and investigations into labor/employee relations issues.
- Perform salary analysis and provide recommendations based on market data and internal equity.
- Provide training and support to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
- Ensure all pre-employment screenings are completed and clear before onboarding.
- Administer skills assessments to candidates.
- Partner with HR Director to resolve hiring issues or concerns.
- Assist with job fairs, prepare special reports, and develop training tools for managers.
- Maintain professional, courteous behavior and confidentiality at all times.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (may substitute 4+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree)
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare or healthcare recruitment
Skills:
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Problem-solving ability and flexibility
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking softwares
Licenses/Certifications:
- Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) – must obtain within 30 days of hire
