Project Manager, Finance Transformation
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Open to PST Remote)
Pay: $70-$75/HR
13-Week W2 Assignment (high potential to convert)
Job Summary
On behalf of our client, a leading private university in Los Angeles, we are seeking a dynamic Manager / Project Manager, Finance Transformation to join our Finance Department. Reporting to the Director of Finance Transformation, this role will lead key finance system modernization initiatives and process improvements to enhance financial operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in enterprise system implementations, change management, and finance transformation within a large healthcare or enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee finance transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic financial objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Drive the implementation and optimization of finance systems such as ERP (Lawson, SAP, Workday, Oracle) and EPM tools (Strata, Anaplan, Hyperion).
- Establish and refine finance-related policies, procedures, and training materials to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Executive Leadership to enhance financial planning, reporting, and revenue cycle management.
- Spearhead technology-driven enhancements including AI forecasting, data analytics, and automation tools.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including GAAP, SOX, and healthcare finance standards.
- Develop and implement change management strategies to support system adoption and process improvements across the organization.
Education & Experience:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Required:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare finance setting.
- At least 2 years in project/program management with experience leading finance transformation initiatives.
- Hands-on experience in enterprise system implementations and process improvement within finance operations.
- Preferred:
- Experience in change management, risk assessment, and program governance.
- Strong background in financial forecasting, budgeting, and revenue cycle management.
Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated experience managing finance transformation projects in a complex environment.
- Proficiency in financial systems (ERP, EPM, BI reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx).
- Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to analyze financial data and drive process improvements.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience developing training materials and policies related to finance transformation.
