Our client in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry is actively seeking a driven and detail-oriented Research and Development Mechanical Engineering Technician to bolster our innovative team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for recent graduates or current graduate students with a mechanical background to immerse themselves in a dynamic R&D environment, contributing to the advancement of next-generation life science instruments.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and meticulously test engineering prototype instruments, ensuring strict adherence to design specifications and uncompromising quality standards.
- Execute comprehensive testing and analysis of components and systems to validate research findings, fine-tuning mechanical models as necessary.
- Collaborate in root-cause investigations to swiftly identify and resolve issues, actively contributing to ongoing product quality enhancement initiatives.
- Manage the procurement, tracking, stocking, and kitting of instrument components, vital to facilitating seamless production and assembly operations.
- Establish and maintain assembly stations, tools, test equipment, and fixtures, ensuring their continual optimization for functionality and safety.
- Generate and meticulously release engineering documentation, including precise assembly procedures, installation instructions, and comprehensive test reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology, with 1-2 years of experience.
- Demonstrate a solid grasp of engineering principles and theories, coupled with a keen mechanical aptitude.
- Exhibit a foundational understanding of instrument assembly and testing procedures.
- Showcase exceptional communication, technical, and computer skills vital for seamless collaboration within a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Display proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, considered a significant advantage.
