Location: Los Angeles, CA 90032

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Two to three days onsite

Remote Work Equipment: Provided – Laptop and monitors

Pay Rate: $62.98/ HR

Target Start: February 2024

Duration of Assignment: Approved for 3-4 months, can extend or convert to FTE

 

Work Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

 

  • Minimum 5 years of employee and labor relations experience, dealing with unions is essential.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry is a MUST.

 

 

Job Description:

The Senior Labor and Employee Relations Representative at our medical enterprise client plays a crucial role in objectively assessing, guiding, and resolving all people-related situations. This position serves as the primary point of escalation for HR-related issues and collaborates with HR Centers of Excellence to expedite resolutions. The role involves providing advice and counsel to department management on various issues, including employee performance, misconduct, and corrective action.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Human Resource Management or a Business-related field.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of employee and labor relations experience, dealing with unions is essential.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry is a MUST.
  • Proficient verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical/critical thinking, presentation, and creative skills.
  • Experience with unions and conducting employee investigations.
  • Proficient in MS Office and applicable computer applications.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Guide, train, coach, and support a diverse range of customers, including directors, managers, and front-line staff.
  • Address and resolve HR-related issues in collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence.
  • Provide advice and counsel to department management on employee performance issues, misconduct, and corrective action.
  • Conduct investigations of harassment allegations, including sexual harassment and hostile work environments.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, including FMLA/CFRA, Reasonable Accommodation, VAWA/CANRA, HIPAA, HEERA, FLSA/wage-hour laws, contract interpretation, and EEOC/DFEH/DOJ requirements.
