Job Description:

Event Management Responsibilities:
• Plan, coordinate, and execute events within specified scope, timeframe, and budget.
• Collaborate in the planning process, contributing to decisions regarding scope, timeframe, and budget.
• Partner with the marketing and communication team and other departments to achieve event objectives for diverse audiences.
• Act as a liaison with sponsors, committees, university leadership, and external stakeholders, addressing their needs, nurturing relationships, and resolving issues.
• Communicate with event speakers, partners, and guests, providing necessary briefings, itineraries, and schedules.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with vendors and clients, serving as the primary point of contact for event-related matters.
• Research and select event venues, negotiate contracts, and manage invoices for payment.
• Arrange both virtual and in-person venues for events.
• Coordinate event logistics, including briefings, run-of-show, and diagrams.
• Stay informed about university policies and guidelines.
• Stay updated on event trends, new technologies, and best practices.
• Manage events within budgetary constraints.
• Establish event goals and measure success through analytics.
• Source, procure, and oversee the delivery of event materials and swag.
• Supervise volunteers, staff, and student workers during events.
• Provide oversight for part-time student workers or staff.
• Offer assistance with departmental administrative tasks as required.
