Senior Accountant
Location: San Rafael, CA (Hybrid)
12-Month Assignment (potential to extend)
Pay: $50-55 / hour
Our client, a world leader bio-tech company who focuses on delivering therapeutics that provide meaningful advances to patients who live with serious and life-threatening rare genetic diseases, is looking for a Senior Accountant, Intercompany Accounting to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end intercompany transactions , fostering strong cross-functional relationships, and demonstrating analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset .
Responsibilities:

M anage global intercompany transactions, including transfer pricing, intercompany loans, intercompany funding, intercompany royalties, and other non-product intercompany charges.

Support transfer pricing arrangements, intercompany loan agreements, and treasury agreements.

Oversee the intercompany invoicing and settlement process in compliance with accounting policies.

Assist with month-end accounting and reporting tasks, including:
-Preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
-Cadency administrative management
-Generation of financial reports (controllership package, elimination workbook, etc.) -
Monitor intercompany balances and identify resolutions for discrepancies.

Coordinate with intercompany partners to settle aged intercompany AR/AP balances.

Support SEC 10Q/10K schedules, including equity roll-forward, SOCF adjustments for equity accounts, and intangible asset roll-forward.

Prepare statutory financial statements for tax filing purposes (e.g., consolidated EMEA financials, HK programs charge, management fee annual true-up, etc.).

Prepare government survey reporting, including QFR-200, QSS1E, BE-125.

Assist with both internal and external audit requests.

Document and test Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Contribute to process improvement projects, such as transfer pricing enhancements and intercompany automation (IC BOT).

Administer GL Wand.
Education and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

3 years of experience in a multinational, multi-entity, and multi-currency environment.

Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, HFM, SmartView, and Cadency.

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organizational abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaborate with global teams.

Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
