Senior Project Manager, Clinical (Inpatient/Ambulatory Portfolios)
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Open to Remote)
12 month assignment (possibility of extension)

Pay rate: $75-$88/hr.
Schedule: 8 AM – 5 PM

On behalf of our client a private university located in Los Angeles, CA. we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead critical clinical projects within our inpatient and ambulatory portfolios. This role is integral to ensuring the successful delivery of business-critical strategic initiatives in a healthcare IT environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven experience of managing large-scale clinical projects and facilitating collaboration among cross-functional teams to achieve enterprise goals.
 
Key Responsibilities:
·      Lead all phases of strategic projects, from initiation to implementation and closure.
·      Develop detailed project plans, monitor progress, and ensure on-time, on-budget, and within-scope delivery.
·      Utilize project management best practices and enterprise PMO (EMPO) standards.
·      Manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs and escalate issues for resolution.
·      Facilitate operational readiness, including transition plans, standard operating procedures, and productivity impact mitigation.
·      Act as the primary liaison between project sponsors, team members, business, and clinical stakeholders.
·      Provide leadership in gathering and translating business and technical requirements.
·      Drive collaboration during the technical design and build processes to meet business outcomes.
·      Develop and execute enterprise-level communication and change management plans.
·      Proactively address change management challenges and implement effective solutions.
·      Oversee the implementation of Business/Practice Management systems, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
·      Provide expertise in imaging systems (radiology/cardiology) implementation (preferred).
·      Ensure proper testing, validation, and acceptance of solutions with stakeholders.
 
Education and Qualifications:
·      Minimum of 5 years of IT project management experience, including clinical project management in hospital or health system IT environments.
·      Strong background managing strategic projects involving business process documentation and redesign.
·      Expertise in budgeting, including Capital vs. Operating expenses.
·      Ability to create and present executive-level communications and materials.
·      Proficiency in translating strategies into actionable goals and deliverables.
·      Familiarity with EMR, CRM, or imaging systems (preferred).
·      Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
·      Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
·      PMP, Six Sigma, or Agile certifications.
·      Experience with imaging systems is a strong advantage.
