Senior Project Manager – Construction
Location: Los Angeles, CA.
12 month Assignment (Great Potential to extend)
Pay Rate: $75-$88/hr. DOE
Schedule 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
On behalf of our client a private university located in Los Angeles, CA. we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with Construction background. This role will lead enterprise-level projects focused on healthcare construction and IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration between construction activities and technology systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven experience of managing complex projects within healthcare organizations, exceptional technical expertise, and superior communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop project charters, schedules, and organizational charts.
· Manage risks, issues, dependencies, change requests, and project documentation.
· Coordinate with internal IT teams, external contractors, and construction trades.
· Facilitate effective communication of project status, risks, and budget updates.
· Technical Oversight:
· Ensure IT infrastructure integration, including cabling, telecom spaces, LAN/WAN connectivity, and end-user devices.
· Oversee IT planning for medical equipment and infrastructure interdependencies.
· Understand and address the impact of construction activities on IT systems.
· Budget and Reporting:
· Create and manage project budgets, including capital (CapEx) and operational (OpEx) expenses.
· Forecast expenditures and provide regular financial reporting.
· Stakeholder Collaboration:
· Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams, construction teams, and business stakeholders.
· Facilitate OAC coordination meetings and ensure timely stakeholder engagement.
Education & Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in a related field.
· PMP Certification is required.
· 8 years of experience leading enterprise-wide projects.
· 5 years in healthcare-related construction or infrastructure projects.
· Expertise in IT infrastructure and healthcare construction interdependencies.
· Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., ServiceNow ITBM, Clarity, Planview).
· Advanced skills in MS Office, MS Project, and Smartsheet.
· Experience with Agile methodologies.
· Familiarity with design tools like Revit, Bluebeam, or AutoCAD.
· RCDD Certification is a plus.
