TDD Converting Technician
Location: Northridge
12-month assignment (great potential to extend or convert)
Pay Rate: $24-$26/hr.
On behalf of our client a global medical device company we are seeking for a Converting technician to support their facilities. The perfect candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating Converting and Packaging equipment to produce Transdermal Pharmaceutical drugs. Ensure products meet GMP quality standards by following Manufacturing Order instructions and Plant SOPs. Monitor equipment to maintain process parameters.
Job Duties:
- Operate Converting and Packaging equipment, ensuring correct component usage as per manufacturing order requirements.
- Perform equipment installations, change-overs, and setups safely and compliantly.
- Conduct frequent line monitoring to ensure equipment operates within established parameters, report deviations promptly.
- Ensure all products meet GMP specifications; report any deviations immediately.
- Conduct thorough line clean checks to prevent product cross-contamination.
- Verify materials accurately and promptly per SOP; ensure all raw materials meet usage criteria.
- Follow cleaning procedures outlined in SOPs and manufacturing orders for equipment; report discrepancies promptly.
- Adhere to safety procedures for machine guarding and Lock Out Tag Out; report safety equipment failures immediately.
- Troubleshoot routine equipment issues and notify supervision and maintenance promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in Converting and Packaging areas; report damages promptly.
- Follow safety practices during shifts and promptly report unsafe conditions; actively participate in safety programs.
- Operate material handling equipment safely; adhere to plant safety requirements.
- Ensure defect-free products; report defects promptly.
- Accurately record process and lot information in accordance with SOP and cGMP requirements.
Education and Requirements:
- Preferred prior experience in pharmaceutical/biotech setting.
- Must have great understanding of SOPs, GMP, and safety regulations.
- Must be open and flexible to different shift schedules
