Role Summary:

The TDD Material Control Coordinator is responsible for managing the reconciliation process during the mixing, coating, slitting, converting, and packaging of transdermal medical devices. This role provides direct supervision and guidance to technicians and operators in managing controlled substances, raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods inventory. The Coordinator must become a certified Operator and actively contribute to the department’s goals and team production efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Reconcile controlled substance raw materials and ensure accurate usage documentation.
  • Process Supervision: Oversee drug handling in process areas, ensuring compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Monitoring: Provide continuous surveillance of production processes, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Controlled Substance Handling: Process and issue sample requests, manage raw material reception, and handle hazardous waste disposal and storage.
  • Production Operations: Operate and maintain transdermal production equipment, including packaging, converting, and coating machinery.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct routine inspections of product quality and ensure proper registration of cutting, printing, and sealing operations.
  • Documentation: Record production data using both paper and computer-based systems.
  • Shipping & Waste Management: Process shipments of samples, finished products, and waste, ensuring compliance with hazardous waste regulations.
  • Emergency Response: Serve as a responder during potent compound handling.
  • General Maintenance: Maintain a clean and orderly work area, follow safety protocols, and report any property damage.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and knowledge of GMP and GDP guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ability to use an inventory database.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Must become certified as an Operator within the required timeframe.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform semi-repetitive tasks with manual dexterity.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Experience with accounting tasks and maintaining documentation accuracy.
