Workplace Support Technician
Location: San Jose, CA. Bay Area
8 month Contract (Great potential to extend or convert)
Pay Rate: $28-$30/hour DOE

On behalf of our tech client, we are seeking for a dynamic Workplace Support Technician. As a Workplace Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office environment while providing exceptional service to internal employees. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing companies in the Bay Area.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to service tickets and provide technical support to employees.
  • Perform basic handyman-type repairs and coordinate with vendors for larger maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with office moves, event setup, and teardown.
  • Research and resolve maintenance issues related to facilities and building operations.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure service expectations are met for janitorial, food service, and other facilities-related services.
  • Coordinate desk assignments and small moves, ensuring all furniture and equipment are operational.
  • Set up new hire desks with necessary supplies and verify functionality of equipment.
  • Maintain facilities floor maps using a computer-aided floorplan management system.
  • Conduct office supply and stationery checks and replenish inventory as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA degree preferred or equivalent experience plus 1-2 years of related experience in workplace operations, customer service, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in creating and editing documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Working knowledge of G-Suite is a plus.
